Planning control: baseline and milestones

Baseline (locking the original plan)

The baseline stores task dates and planned hours so you can later see schedule slips and scope growth.

1. Once the schedule has been agreed with the team, press Capture baseline in the Planning control block.
2. From then on, the Baseline vs actual section shows: Tasks slipped vs baseline, Tasks with expanded scope, Baseline hours and Current plan / actual.
3. The Baseline shifted and Scope increased badges appear in the task list and in the Gantt chart.

Milestone approvals

1. Enter the Milestone title and End date.
2. Optionally, choose a Related task and add a Description.
3. Press Add.
4. The approver adds Approval notes and presses Approve or Reject. The system records the approver and the time.
